On the evening of September 27th, the Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in Jinghu District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, was ablaze with lights and bustling with people, marking the opening of the 3rd Yangtze River Arts Week. Themed "Promoting Yangtze River Culture and Promoting Integrated Development," the event, co-hosted by the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Wuhu Municipal People's Government, aimed to showcase the profound heritage and contemporary vitality of Yangtze River culture through a series of cultural activities, promoting cultural exchange and the integration of culture and tourism within the Yangtze River Basin.

As a key platform for the preservation, inheritance, and promotion of Yangtze River culture, this year's exchange week innovatively incorporates a three-in-one program encompassing six key thematic sectors, regional integration, and cultural tourism and consumption. The program encompasses approximately 40 cultural activities, including song and dance, opera, intangible cultural heritage, light and shadow, cultural and creative industries, and culinary delights. From the "Yangtze River Rhythms: Spring and Autumn" fashion art exhibition to the Riverside Park light and shadow show, and the "Drinking from the Same River" cultural and creative intangible cultural heritage market, citizens and tourists can experience the rich connotations of Yangtze River culture from multiple perspectives through sectors like "Embrace the Yangtze River," "Sing the Yangtze River," and "Recite the Yangtze River."

The event adopts a "1+N" regional linkage model, with Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street as the main venue and multiple sub-venues, including the Municipal Museum, Zhusi Lake Scenic Area, and Squirrel Town. Public benefit activities such as a reading competition, lectures by renowned experts, and a bronze culture exhibition will be held, achieving the goal of "one city, multiple locations, shared by all." The "Drinking from the Same River" cultural, creative, intangible cultural heritage, and food market will continue until October 7th, integrating cultural experiences with consumption scenarios to further stimulate the cultural tourism economy.

Wuhu, long known as "a major Yangtze River port and the backbone of Anhui Province," has been actively developing itself into a provincial sub-center and a people's city in recent years. This exchange week is not only a concentrated cultural showcase but also a concrete example of Wuhu's integration into the Yangtze River Economic Belt and strengthening the region's cultural soft power. At the launch ceremony, the theme song "Meeting the Yangtze River Again" was officially released, and guests jointly pressed the activation button. The opening performance, "Rhythms of the Yangtze River: Spring and Autumn in Huashang," then offered the audience a visual and auditory feast.

In the coming week, Wuhu will openly invite guests from all over the world to attend this golden autumn event where art and humanities are intertwined, and witness the vigorous vitality and integrated charm of Yangtze River culture.
