This newspaper reports that on October 22, the Standing Committee of the Wuhu Municipal People's Congress held its 53rd Chairperson's Meeting. Zhang Feng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairperson of the Standing Committee, presided over the meeting. Deputy Chairpersons Cheng Gang, Wang Fang, Xi Nanshan, and Wu Ruixin, Secretary-General Liu Ping attended, and Deputy Mayor Cao Xiaoming was in attendance.

The meeting discussed and approved the "Measures for the Wuhu Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee to Supervise the Implementation of the 'Law Enforcers, Law Popularization' Legal Education Responsibility System" and the "Regulations on the Work of the Wuhu Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee's Grassroots Contact Points for Social Development," and agreed that they be issued by the office. The meeting also discussed the Standing Committee's opinions on the report on law enforcement and judicial work related to ecological environment and resource protection, the report on government debt management, the report on the construction of a people's city, and the report on the implementation of the "Preschool Education Law of the People's Republic of China." The meeting agreed to send these opinions to the Municipal People's Government, the Municipal Intermediate People's Court, and the Municipal People's Procuratorate for study and handling.

The meeting heard a report from the Municipal People's Government on the coordinated development of key industries in the city and commended the effectiveness of related work. The meeting emphasized the importance of firmly establishing a leading industry consciousness and adhering to the priority planning of the industry. Seizing the opportunity of formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, we will deepen the layout of the entire supply chain, ensure comprehensive support for all factors, and apply it in all scenarios, comprehensively enhancing the international competitiveness and brand influence of the automotive industry. We must uphold the priority support of the industry, proactively optimize services, precisely meet the needs of businesses, and continuously create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and international. We must leverage the advantages of the leading industry, using the automotive city as a catalyst for the development of the "Six Cities," vigorously developing emerging industries such as next-generation information technology, robotics, and high-end equipment. Leveraging the leading industry, we will systematically plan and deploy new business formats, models, and scenarios, building a new automotive industry economic ecosystem encompassing complete vehicles, parts, and the aftermarket. We must follow the Municipal Party Committee's directives, leverage the functions of the People's Congress, accelerate legislation for the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry, strengthen precise oversight, and pool the wisdom and strength of representatives to provide strong support for Wuhu's development into a world-renowned automobile city and Anhui's development into a strong automotive province.
