This reporter (Reporters Yu Bingqing and Zhang Zihao) learned from the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation that the "Huifeng Wanyun · Jiuzi Zerui" Wuhu Disabled Persons' Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural and Creative Works Exhibition successfully concluded at the Palace Museum's Cultural and Creative Integration Center on September 9th. The exhibition, which opened on July 15th and lasted for 57 days, showcased nearly 100 intangible cultural heritage works across 10 categories, including paper cutting, iron painting, dyeing, and stone carving, systematically showcasing the achievements of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and cultural innovation among disabled people in our city.

As the first prefecture-level city-specific exhibition in the province shortlisted for the Palace Museum's Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion Project for Disabled Persons, this exhibition breaks through traditional display frameworks, highlighting the integration of "traditional craftsmanship, modern design, and Palace Museum elements." In addition to the highly acclaimed "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" paper-cut scroll, a number of new products blending palace culture with Wuhu's regional characteristics were also unveiled. Works such as iron painting table lamps inspired by the Palace Museum's blue and white porcelain patterns and hand-embroidered beads featuring the "Forbidden City Cat" theme were highly sought after by visitors. The exhibition attracted over 30,000 visitors from all over the country.

The exhibition focused on showcasing innovative models for the social integration of people with disabilities. Wuhu Special Education School incorporated intangible cultural heritage projects such as paper cutting and iron painting into its vocational education system, systematically promoting the integration of intangible cultural heritage into the curriculum. The Wuhu Autism Association explored a collaborative "family + community + university" model, collaborating with Anhui University of Technology to develop intangible cultural heritage cultural and creative products, helping "star youth" integrate into society through artistic practice. Currently, most exhibits have been produced locally to order, forming a development model of "creation - exhibition and sales - feedback."

During the exhibition, Wuhu's innovative approach to integrating intangible cultural heritage with the career development of people with disabilities was recognized. The Wuhu Disabled Persons' Federation stated that it will use this exhibition as a new starting point to establish a comprehensive support system encompassing "intangible cultural heritage training + creative design + market integration," promoting the development of intangible cultural heritage and creative products for people with disabilities on a broader platform and achieving the development goal of "educating people through culture and supporting people with disabilities through production."
